Trinity's Health Care Administration graduate program is highly motivated, self-directed, and goal-oriented individuals looking to embark on a career in health care leadership. Leadership potential, academic excellence, and a strong interest in health care are criteria used in the selective admission process. All undergraduate majors are considered.

Rolling Admission
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, allowing qualified applicants to receive an admission decision as soon as their application is complete. For the best consideration, apply well before the deadline.

HAMPCAS
Applicants to the program may choose to apply through HAMPCAS (Healthcare Administration, Management & Policy Centralized Application Service). If you apply through HAMPCAS, Trinity requires all applicants to complete and submit the Trinity graduate program application at the same time. Please submit official transcripts and test scores directly to Trinity. If you are applying as an international applicant, please contact us directly before applying.
Admissions Criteria
All undergraduate majors are considered. The earlier an applicant submits all of the materials described below, the earlier he or she will receive an admission decision.
Degree Requirement
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. All undergraduate majors are considered.
Aptitude test scores
No aptitude test is required. To strengthen one's application, candidates may submit an aptitude test score from either the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) or the Graduate Management Admissions Test (GMAT).
Coursework
- Three-credit hour undergraduate courses in Accounting, Economics, and Statistics.
- Grades of A or B are expected in these prerequisite courses. A grade of C is evaluated on an individual basis by the Admissions Committee.
If this requirement is not met at the time of application, the student must submit a written notice of intent to complete the coursework.

Official transcripts, sent directly to Trinity University from all colleges and universities previously attended.
Résumé
A résumé or autobiographical sketch detailing your educational background, volunteer, and employment experience. Students choose the format or length they prefer. Typically, these are 1-2 pages.
Letters of Recommendation
Two letters of recommendation from individuals who are familiar with your academic, volunteer, and/or employment performance. We suggest that recommenders focus on what they think is important: academic abilities, personal character, professionalism, and leadership achievements are all things we look for in letters.
Personal Interview
Personal interview at the invitation of department faculty.
Statement of Purpose
A brief statement of purpose (1-2 pages typed and double-spaced) explaining your reasons for selecting a career in health care administration. We don't have any margin/font requirements. The statement of purpose should not exceed 1,000 words. If you use generative AI tools, it is crucial that the writing you submit for evaluation be rooted in and reflect your own original ideas and intellectual efforts.
Here are additional questions you can choose to address:
- Highlight any relevant coursework, extracurricular activities, or work experience that demonstrates your preparedness for Trinity University’s Healthcare Administration Program.
- Describe the unique perspectives and experiences you will bring to the program.
- Share any personal attributes (e.g., leadership, resilience, empathy) that will help you succeed in the healthcare administration field.
Application Review Process
Step 1
Application Review
Once an applicant's file is completed, the Admissions Committee reviews it on an individual basis to determine if academic criteria are met.
Step 2
Interview
If the initial review is positive, the applicant is invited to the Trinity campus to interview. Shortly after the interview date, the Admissions Committee makes a recommendation to the Chair of the Health Care Administration Department.
Step 3
Decision and Deposit
The applicant will then receive a letter notifying him or her of an admission decision. To accept an admission offer, a candidate is required to notify the Admissions Committee and supply a $200 deposit.
Tuition and Costs
- Total Program Tuition: $90,000
- The Health Care Administration (On-Campus) program uses a flat-rate tuition model.
- It is billed in four equal installments at the start of the first four semesters
