About the Mail Center
The Mail Center processes all incoming and outgoing mail for Trinity University’s on-campus students and departments. Additionally, the Mail Center coordinates and offers consultations about a variety of bulk mail projects.
Student Address and Mailboxes
Address
Your personal Trinity University mailing format is:
To avoid delivery issues, do not use the following terms in your address: Box, P.O. Box, Rm #, Hall, Bldg. or Ste. This may cause a delay in delivery by certain
shippers. Our mailboxes are not a P.O. Box.
Mailbox
As long as you reside in one of Trinity’s on-campus residence halls (does not include City Vista), you will have a campus mailbox in the Mail Center.
Incoming new domestic students usually receive information about their personal campus mailbox numbers and combinations via email in mid-July. Incoming new international students usually receive their information in June. Your mailbox assignment (box number) will remain the same during your entire time here at Trinity, as long as you reside in the residence halls on campus.
Mail Processing
Inbound Mail
The United States Postal Service (USPS) delivers incoming mail Monday through Friday, excluding holidays.
Receive Mail
The Mail Center will sort both your first-class mail (letters and flats) and third-class mail (periodicals, magazines, newspapers, etc.) and deposit it into your student mailbox carrel.
Outbound Mail
A USPS postal carrier picks up outgoing mail at the end of each business day.
Send Mail
You can send outgoing mail either directly from inside the Mail Center or from the blue U.S. Postal Service Collection box conveniently located right outside of the Mail Center.
Package Processing
Upon the delivery of your package, the Mail Services Center will scan the package into an internal tracking system which will automatically send you a delivery confirmation email to your Tmail.
- New international students may begin to send packages to campus July 1.
- New domestic students may begin doing so August 1.
Package Pick-Up
To pick up a package from the Mail Center, you will need your Tiger Card. It will serve as your signature for the package(s) you pick up.
You will receive a second email confirming that your package has been picked up at the Mail Center.
Amazon Order Instructions
Before you place an order with Amazon, please check out the Mail Center’s Information and Instructions for Amazon Orders (PDF) document.
Tracking Packages
The MSC staff can assist you with tracking various types of packages (i.e. Letter Mail & Parcels, FedEx, UPS, etc.) that are sent to the campus with a tracking number. Most couriers will apply a tracking with their packages. When you contact us, you would need to provide us the tracking number for the inquiry.
If you plan to send an important document, or with $$ value, we suggest to adding a tracking number. All items with added tracking will get scanned with our package notification system. This will also notify your student by email (Emails are sent to their Trinity email address) that a package is ready to be picked up.
If an item is ordered and paid by you or by anyone else (other than the student), chances are it will be shipped under that name when it arrives. Please be sure to have the vendor add your student's name on the shipping address (label).
- Add c/o Student's Name.
- Add their mailbox #**** in the address
line.
This will avoid delays on final delivery.
