Program Admissions

The Master of Arts in School Psychology (MASP) program enrolls 10–15 students each year, creating an intimate learning environment with personalized faculty mentorship and extensive hands-on experience in assessment, intervention, and instructional programming for every child to reach their full potential.

• Admissions has two cycles, early admission and regular admission decisions.

• Once the incoming class is full, qualified applicants may be offered a place on the program’s waitlist.

• Because the program enrolls a limited number of students each year, early application is encouraged.

Applicants should meet the following minimum requirements:

Academic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 3.0 GPA in the last 60 credit hours of undergraduate coursework

While undergraduate degrees in Psychology or Education are preferred, applicants from other academic backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Total Program Tuition: $42,000

The Master of Arts in School Psychology uses a flat-rate tuition model for this three-year, 60-credit-hour program. This total includes all tuition and required program fees for the entire program.

Note: The total program tuition is separate from the estimated cost of attendance, which includes personal living expenses such as housing, food, transportation, books, and supplies.

Estimated Cost of Attendance

The estimated cost of attendance combines your direct educational costs with estimated indirect expenses while enrolled in the program. 

*Indirect costs include estimated housing, food, books and supplies, transportation, and personal expenses. These costs vary based on your individual circumstances and are not billed by Trinity University.

Graduate Assistantships and Practicums

The San Antonio community provides an important setting for students’ educational experiences.

Year One and Two: 

First and second-year students will receive a paid graduate assistantship (optional) and practicum. Students are paid $5,000 for assistantship and $5,000 for practicum.

Year Three: 

Students advance to a full-time paid internship in a school setting of their choice.
