What Trinity Provides
Before you start packing, here’s what’s already waiting for you in your room:
Not Allowed
For safety and community standards, the following items aren’t allowed in residence halls:
Plates, cups, utensils, and food storage containers for when you’re not eating in an on-campus dining facility
Non-perishable snacks (snacks are also available for purchase on campus)
Optional: small coffee maker
Tip: You can borrow cookware from Residential Life in the Witt Center.
Laptop or computer
Phone chargers and cables
Surge protector
Desk or bedside lamp
Optional: TV or Bluetooth speaker
XL twin sheets and bedding
Pillows and blankets
Mattress topper (highly recommended)
Towels and toiletries
Shower essentials
Hand soap and dispenser
Small bathroom trash can
Under-bed storage bins
Hanging organizers or racks
Laundry basket and hangers
Tip: Check your residence hall room dimensions before buying larger items.
Photos, posters, and artwork
Plants
Small decorative items
Note: Use small nails or tacks only. Adhesive products like 3M strips are not allowed.

Compact drying rack (optional but helpful)
Small toolbox (for quick fixes and setup)
Hand truck or cart (optional but useful for move-in and move-out)
Cleaning supplies (disinfectant wipes, sprays, paper towels)
Prescription medications, first-aid kit, and basic over-the-counter medications, such as:
- Acetaminophen
- Ibuprofen
- Upset stomach medication
- Cold remedy medicine
- Cough syrup
- Allergy medication
Bandages
Topical antibacterial cream
Sunscreen
Mosquito / bug repellent
Personal documents, especially for on-campus employment (see acceptable I9 documentation for on-campus employment verification)
