First Year Move-In Day Instructions
Residential Life works to make your move-in experience as smooth as possible. Team Trinity and O-Team Leaders are eager to meet you and assist you in your first year move-in!

Move-in is scheduled by residence hall to ensure a smooth arrival.

Transfer Students
Check in at Mabee Dining Hall (next to the Witt Center). Arriving during this window allows you to participate in transfer orientation before other students arrive.

Start with Orientation
After move-in, orientation programs will help you get settled, meet your peers, and prepare for your first days on campus.
International Student Move-In
International students will participate in an on-campus orientation and move-in overview August 19-21. Family members are welcome. Residential Life will email you important information about move-in day. Learn more about International Student Orientation from the International Student and Scholar Services Office.

Plan Ahead

August in San Antonio is hot and humid, so plan accordingly to stay comfortable. We recommend bringing water, sunscreen, a hat or cooling towel, and wearing lightweight, comfortable clothing. Most importantly—bring a positive attitude!

When you arrive, display your residence hall name on your car dashboard (printed on a piece of paper). Trinity Police will direct you to your residence hall, where Team Trinity volunteers (students, faculty, and staff) will be ready to greet you. They’ll help answer questions, assist with unloading, and guide you as you move into your room. Moving carts will also be available.

Yes. Volunteers across campus will be on hand throughout move-in day to support you. Look for team members in maroon shirts!

To keep things running smoothly, please follow posted unloading routes. Once your vehicle is empty, park in the Alamo Stadium Lot to reduce congestion. Trinity Police will be available to help direct traffic.
