Resident Assistants (RAs) are carefully selected and extensively trained upper-division students who serve as part of the Residential Life team.

They are here to:

Your RA is someone you can trust—whether you have questions, need support, or are navigating the ups and downs of college life.

First-Year Area

Your RA helps you adjust to college life and build your first community at Trinity.

You can expect your RA to:

• Plan activities to help you meet others and feel connected
• Talk through the challenges and transitions of your first year
• Offer guidance on:
  • Getting along with a roommate
  • Succeeding in your classes
  • Growing into your own identity

Sophomore College

Your RA helps you explore opportunities and take your next steps.

You can expect your RA to:

• Host programs focused on:
  • Choosing a major
  • Building social connections
  • Studying abroad
  • CliftonStrengths
  • Finding internships
• Provide mentorship as you deepen your involvement on campus
• Uphold university policies and expectations

Upper-Division Halls

Your RA supports a more independent, student-led community experience.

You can expect your RA to:

• Foster a respectful and engaging living environment
• Help resolve concerns and connect you with resources
• Be available when questions or challenges arise
• Uphold university policies and expectations

Note: As a third- or fourth-year student, you’ll take greater ownership of your living environment and help shape your community.
