Trinity Trustee Shari Albright Transitions from Charles Butt Foundation Presidency to New Advisory Role in Charles Butt Philanthropy

Shari Albright, Ph.D. ’83, M’86, a Trinity University alumna, trustee, and former chair and Murchison Distinguished Professor of Practice in Trinity’s Department of Education, is concluding more than seven years as president of the Charles Butt Foundation. She will transition into an advisory role with Fair Winds Management LLC, which oversees Charles Butt’s philanthropic work.

During her tenure as president, Albright strengthened the foundation’s statewide presence and advanced its mission to support strong public schools, thriving communities, and a more equitable future for Texans. She guided the merger of the Raise Your Hand Texas Foundation and the Charles Butt Foundation, expanded programmatic impact, helped launch the #TeachersCan campaign, and supported the Uvalde Moving Forward Foundation in the construction of a new elementary school.
