Trinity University English professor Jenny Browne will join more than 280 writers at the 2026 Texas Book Festival in Austin. Browne will share her new poetry collection, I Am Trying to Love the Whole World, which explores themes of loss, love, and survival.
The Texas Book Festival features a who’s who of Texas-connected authors each year, and Trinity English professor Jenny Browne, MFA, is included this year. Scheduled for Nov. 14 and 15 across various downtown Austin locations, the event hosts more than 280 writers, who are from Texas or have books that are about or based in the state.
Browne will be sharing her newly released collection of poems entitled “I Am Trying to Love the Whole World.” Browne started composing the poems in the book during pandemic-era isolation. Trinity University President Vanessa B. Beasley, Ph.D., chose the book, which explores themes of loss, love, and survival, as her summer book club selection.
Also included in this year’s roster of notable Texas Book Fair attendees are Pulitzer Prize winners Hernan Diaz, Andrew Sean Greer, Daniel Kraus, and Colson Whitehead, plus National Book Award winners Elizabeth Acevedo and Patricia Smith.
