At Trinity, history students explore Africa, the Ancient World, Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Native and Indigenous societies, and the United States. You can study history broadly or focus on a specific region, era, or theme, building the research, writing, analytical, and communication skills that prepare you for many paths after graduation.
Small classes encourage close discussion with faculty who are active scholars and dedicated mentors. You’ll have opportunities to conduct original research, pursue honors work, study abroad, join student groups, and gain experience through internships at museums, historic landmarks, and government offices.
San Antonio offers history students a rich setting for learning beyond the classroom. Students have interned with organizations such as the San Antonio Museum of Art, Fort Sam Houston Army Base, the Witte Museum, and other local institutions connected to public history, culture, and civic life.
