Health Services offers a range of medical and nursing services designed to support students throughout their time at Trinity. From routine care and preventive services to treatment for illness or injury, our team provides developmentally appropriate, culturally sensitive care in a supportive environment.
Students can connect with nurses, physicians, and nurse practitioners for a wide variety of healthcare needs, with many services available at no charge.
On-Campus Medical Services

Registered nurses are available to answer questions, provide health guidance, assess minor illnesses and injuries, and help students determine next steps for care.

When students need specialized or ongoing care beyond what Health Services can provide on campus, we can help connect them with local specialists and community healthcare providers.
Students are responsible for transportation, identifying in-network providers, and costs associated with off-campus care.

Health Services can collect specimens for common laboratory testing, including STI testing, with a valid physician’s order. Some tests may require off-campus processing at a local laboratory. Costs vary depending on the test performed, and all health information remains confidential as required by law. Call Health Services to schedule an appointment.
Medical Emergencies and Urgent Care
If you are experiencing a medical emergency on campus, call rinity University Police Department (TUPD) at 210-999-7000. TUPD officers can respond immediately and coordinate emergency medical services when needed.
For off-campus emergencies, call 911.

Students seeking emergency medical care related to sexual assault may access a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) at any Bexar County Emergency Room. Health Services can also help students connect with medical care, advocacy, reporting options, and additional support resources.

Payment and Insurance
Most nursing consultations, first aid care, and many Health Services offerings are available to students at no charge.
Trinity University does not charge a student health fee, and Health Services does not bill private insurance plans. Students are required to maintain health insurance coverage to support access to off-campus specialty, emergency, or hospital care.
