Health Requirements and Records
All new students and students returning from temporary withdrawal are required to complete Health Services requirements before enrollment.
Requirements may include:
- Immunization and vaccination records
- State-required meningitis documentation
- Health history information
- Insurance verification
Students who do not submit required documentation may not be permitted to register for or attend classes until requirements are completed.
Most health records and forms are submitted through the secure Patient Portal.
Managing your health records and insurance coverage is an important part of staying well at Trinity.
Health Services helps students complete required health documentation, access medical records, understand insurance requirements, and connect with healthcare resources both on and off campus.
Student Health Insurance
Trinity University requires all students enrolled in nine or more semester hours, or enrolled in a full-time graduate program, to maintain health insurance coverage.
Health insurance helps students access:
- Emergency medical care
- Hospitalization
- Off-campus specialists
- Ongoing or specialized treatment
Health Services itself does not require insurance for treatment, and many services are available to students at no charge.
Students are encouraged to carry their insurance card at all times.
Insurance Options and Coverage

Students who already have qualifying health insurance coverage may complete an online waiver during the annual waiver period to decline enrollment in the Student Health Insurance Plan.
