A Highly Selective Cohort Experience
Take the next step toward becoming a transformational school leader. Trinity’s Master's of Education in School Leadership program prepares experienced educators to lead high-performing schools while improving outcomes for students, teachers, and communities.
Each year, the program welcomes a cohort of 10 to 15 accomplished PreK–12 educators who demonstrate leadership potential, a commitment to educational excellence, and a passion for serving diverse school communities.
Application Dates and Deadlines
Applications open August 1 each year.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis beginning January 31.
Once the cohort reaches capacity, qualified applicants may be offered a place on the waitlist.

Admissions Criteria
Applicants should demonstrate the academic preparation, professional experience, and leadership potential necessary for success in the program.
Academic Qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university
- A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in the last 60 credit hours of coursework
Professional Experience
- Two or more years of teaching as a teacher of record
- Demonstrated leadership experience within their school or district
- Texas Teacher Certification
Recommendations
Three professional or academic recommendations are required. One recommendation must come from your current campus or district and indicate support for your participation in the program.

- Official transcripts from all previously attended colleges and universities
- Current résumé highlighting education and professional experience

- Responses to the professional reflection questions included in the application
- Copy of service record
Optional Materials
Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores are not required for admission but may be submitted to strengthen an application.
Application Review and Cohort Selection
The program uses a three-step selection process to screen and assess candidates for leadership potential, character excellence, and program fit. The team of evaluators will be comprised of experienced educators and business leaders and will utilize validated simulation experiences that align with the competency framework of the program objectives.
Round one
Application Review
Applications are reviewed holistically, including academic performance, professional experience, written responses, and recommendations. Selected applicants advance to the interview stage.
Round two
Interviews
Candidates participate in an introductory interview with the Program Director or a member of the School Leadership faculty.
Round three
Leadership Assessment
Finalists complete a day-long leadership assessment featuring individual and collaborative problem-solving activities, simulations, and leadership exercises evaluated by experienced educators and business leaders.
Every finalist who participates in the final leadership assessment receives individualized feedback highlighting leadership strengths and opportunities for growth.
Final Selection
Decision
Graduate Admissions will notify applicants who have been admitted. Candidates who are not selected but demonstrate strong leadership potential are encouraged to continue developing their leadership skills and reapply the following year.
Tuition and Costs
The School Leadership (M.Ed.) program uses a flat-rate tuition model of $15,000. This includes all tuition and mandatory fees associated with enrollment.
