Local partnerships

Internships are offered in coordination with local institutions such as the San Antonio Museum of Art, the McNay Art Museum, Artpace, and The Contemporary at Blue Star, as well as other state and national cultural bodies, including museums, galleries, historic sites, schools, and arts organizations.

Types of opportunities 

Internships may encompass a variety of activities, from collections research, archival projects, or clerical tasks to art handling and exhibition coordination.

How to get started

The Center for Experiential Learning and Career Success (CELCS) offers resources to evaluate your interests, values, and skills and help you find internships and other opportunities. Some internships are arranged by the student together with the institution offering the position. The student and proposed supervisor will arrange the details of the internship, specifying the focus of the project, the type and range of activities involved, and the number of hours per week that the student will be expected to commit to the project.
