Trinity manages the endowment with a long-term, disciplined investment strategy designed to preserve and grow resources for future generations. The portfolio is globally diversified across asset classes, including public equities, private equity and venture capital, real assets, hedge funds, and fixed income.
The endowment consists of the Long-Term Investment Pool (LTIP) — Trinity’s primary investment pool, managed by the Board of Trustees’ Investments Committee and the Office of Investments — and Funds Held-in-Trust (FHIT), which are managed by third parties on the University’s behalf. Approximately 58% of LTIP funds are donor-restricted endowed funds for designated purposes. The remainder are Board-designated funds supporting key University priorities.
To ensure transparency and accountability, Trinity follows a formal Statement of Investment Responsibility to guide its investment decisions.
