Volunteer and Service

Work with local nonprofits, schools, and community organizations while gaining experience and earning income. Through paid positions, you can build career-ready skills and explore public service—while also earning up to six academic credits for internships that complement your academic program.

Community-Based Federal Work Study positions are:

• Available to students eligible for federal work study
• Paid, off-campus roles with local organizations
• Designed as ongoing experiences across the academic year

Past partners include ABC of Southwest Texas, Brackenridge Park Conservancy, Gardopia Gardens, SAAACAM, Texas Public Radio, and the Witte Museum.
