Biology
Trinity’s Department of Biology engages and supports students in a dynamic learning environment that promotes a broad, integrated, and interdisciplinary understanding of biological systems. We value and mentor students as colleagues in inquiry, blurring the lines between scholarship and teaching.
Chemistry
Trinity University’s Department of Chemistry provides a challenging and supportive learning environment that gives students a comprehensive and rigorous foundation in the chemical sciences. We engage students as collaborators in our research laboratories, and we bring our research expertise to the classroom.
Computer Science
Trinity's computer science department provides broad training in design, systems, applications, and the theory of computing. Students receive substantial laboratory experience with computers, programming, and other related areas, which provide the knowledge and tools to be successful in both theoretical understanding and applied computing.
Earth and Environmental Geosciences
The department of Earth and Environmental Geosciences offers degree programs in geosciences and in Earth systems. The curriculum includes core classes in environmental and physical geology, Earth history, solid Earth processes, Earth surface processes, hydrogeology, and structural geology, combined with a diverse range of electives. We stress field work in all appropriate classes at all levels.
Engineering Science
Trinity’s Department of Engineering Science is dedicated to creating well-rounded engineers with deep, fundamental understanding of physical sciences, mathematics, and engineering.
Mathematics
Trinity's mathematics program embraces this dual essence. Besides endowing students with fundamental skills and knowledge, it inspires them to love mathematics and appreciate its beauty and it provides them with opportunities to explore and participate in cutting-edge applications.
Physics and Astronomy
The department offers a B.S. and B.A. in physics, as well as minors in both physics and astronomy, providing students with access to state-of-the-art teaching and laboratory facilities and giving them opportunities to work on meaningful research on the cutting edge of science.
Psychology
Psychology is the science of behavior and mental processes. Trinity’s psychology curriculum reflects both the diversity of the field and the critical role of sophisticated research methods in advancing scientific knowledge
