Transfer Credit
Current students must have a Core Capacities Transfer Credit Approval form and a Major/Minor Request Transfer Credit Approval form on file to attain credits from other institutions. Transfer credits must be approved by the respective department chair.
For more information, review the Guide to Transfer Credit which is attached to the Transfer Credit Approval form and the Courses of Study Bulletin for important rules and policies pertaining to transfer credit.
Dual Credit
Trinity University accepts dual credit (college courses taken as part of the secondary school curriculum) only if the courses taken were not used to satisfy Trinity's expectations for admission outlined in the Admission Minimum Course Expectations section and have met all other mandated transfer requirements.
Placement Examinations
Departmental placement examinations in specific courses are available to qualified students upon approval of the chair of the department in which the examination must be taken. Credit for the course will be granted provided the student passes the examination with a grade of B or higher.

Foreign Credentials
Students with foreign academic credentials must have their transcripts evaluated and, if necessary, translated into English by an established, reputable, foreign credentials evaluation agency.
The student must cover any incurred fees and order a detailed course-level evaluation. Please note that Trinity has no formal agreement with any such evaluation service provider, so students are not required to use any particular agency.
However, we can recommend the organizations listed below because we have found them to be reputable within the industry and if you choose one not on this list please contact us to receive approval in advance.
