Trinity Connections Run Deep Among “South Texas Power Players”

Eight members of the Trinity University community, including President Vanessa B. Beasley, Ph.D., trustees, alumni and a Trinity parent, have been named to the San Antonio Business Journal’s 2026 South Texas Power Players list. The annual recognition highlights influential leaders whose work in business, education and civic life helps shape the region’s economy and communities.

The San Antonio Business Journal has released its list of South Texas Power Players for 2026. On the list are Vanessa B. Beasley, Ph.D., president of Trinity University; Trinity Board of Trustees members April Ancira ’02, P’24 and Michael Lynd Jr. ’95, P’24; alumni Trish DeBerry ’87, Erik Walsh ’91, M’94, Mitchell Walker ’07, and Dan Geddes ’96; and Trinity parent Susan Steves Thompson P’18.

Now in its second year, the South Texas Power Players list honors influential leaders shaping the area. From business executives and entrepreneurs to civic leaders, educators and public officials, these people drive investment, innovation and opportunity while making a lasting impact on the region’s economy and communities, according to the Business Journal.
