The Finance and Compliance unit serves as a cornerstone of the university’s fiscal stewardship, ensuring institutional resources are managed responsibly, strategically, and in alignment with university priorities. As part of the Division of Finance and Administration, this unit oversees the Business Office, Financial Planning & Budget, Risk Management, and Compliance—providing the financial structure, oversight, and accountability needed to support daily operations and long-term sustainability.
Together, these areas help safeguard the university’s assets, promote sound decision-making, manage risk, and uphold the policies and practices that strengthen trust across the campus community.

What We Do
Business Office
The Business Office mission is to provide students, faculty and staff an effective service-based means of processing financial transactions in an environment of fiscal integrity. The Trinity University Business Office provides a wide range of services to the Trinity community.
Financial Planning and Budget
The team guides the university’s financial future through budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning, ensuring resources are aligned with institutional priorities and long-term sustainability.
Risk Management
The Office of Risk Management identifies, assesses, and helps mitigate risks that could impact the university’s people, operations, and resources. The Office of Risk Management supports a safe, resilient, and compliant campus environment through planning, oversight, and institutional guidance.
Compliance
The Chief Compliance Officer promotes accountability and integrity by helping the university meet legal, regulatory, and policy obligations. The Compliance team provides guidance, training, and oversight to reduce risk, strengthen ethical practices, and support responsible decision-making across campus to ensure the University remains in good standing.
