World-Class Facilities for Teaching and Research
The Department of Chemistry is housed in Trinity University's Center for the Sciences and Innovation, a state-of-the-art facility designed to support rigorous undergraduate research and hands-on laboratory education.
Our Department Maintains an Extensive Collection of Advanced Instrumentation
From high-field NMR spectrometers and mass spectrometers to electron microscopes, chromatography systems, and controlled-environment gloveboxes — made possible through generous support from the National Science Foundation, the Welch Foundation, the W. M. Keck Foundation, and other leading research funders.
Undergraduates at Trinity work alongside faculty on real research projects using the same instruments found in graduate and professional settings. Our facilities also serve the broader San Antonio academic community, with San Antonio-area colleges and universities accessing our NMR and mass spectrometry resources for their own coursework and research.
