Experiential Learning

Learning extends far beyond campus in Trinity's MSA program. Students travel to Washington, D.C., where they meet with leaders from organizations such as the SEC, PCAOB, Center for Audit Quality and the Tax Foundation to gain firsthand insight into the policies, regulations and institutions shaping the accounting profession. These experiences connect classroom learning with real-world practice while expanding students' professional networks.

Students also have the opportunity to work closely with faculty to explore current and emerging issues in the accounting profession through hands-on research. Along the way, they strengthen their analytical and communication skills while gaining opportunities to present their findings to industry professionals and at academic and professional conferences.

One of the distinguishing features of the Trinity MSA is that we intentionally extend learning beyond the classroom. We believe graduate education should combine technical accounting knowledge with meaningful experiential learning that prepares students for the realities of professional practice. Our graduate assistantships are designed with that educational philosophy in mind.

Long-term success requires more than technical expertise. Trinity's MSA program features a distinctive capstone that prepares students for success beyond the classroom by developing leadership, financial wellness, healthcare literacy, physical well-being and professional skills through experiences such as financial planning, storytelling, yoga, art and nature-based learning.
