What is TDC
TDC is a university-sponsored organization (USO) made up of students who care about diversity, inclusion and equity initiatives on campus. Not only do we work with organizations to educate students about current events and social justice issues but we also work with administrators to create structural changes that will outlast our members and improve campus life overall.
We serve as a resource to cultural, religious, or otherwise marginalized organizations and groups while also finding ways to connect with the San Antonio community.
Why is TDC important?
TDC's mission is to promote, educate, and advocate for diversity, inclusion, equity, and social justice issues. One way in which this is accomplished is by serving as a resource to cultural, religious, or otherwise marginalized organizations and groups on campus. TDC also promotes interactive events and dialogues at Trinity and throughout San Antonio.

Applications are available each March for members to be selected for the following academic year. Interviews are offered to the top applicants.
- TDC President is selected by the outgoing President and the Adviser.
- All other positions are selected by the incoming President and the Adviser.

In order to promote our mission, we host interactive events and dialogues for students, staff and faculty.

Every month, TDC hosts diversity dialogues where members of the Trinity community can come together to discuss and learn about topics pertaining to social justice and inclusion. Past dialogue topics have included: "How to be an ally", "Anti-Blackness in the south Asian community" and "Iran Dialogue: What's up with the WWIII memes?"

Along with our dialogues, TDC also hosts a collaboration every month with fellow student organizations! Past collaborations have included a dialogue about Palestine with the Muslim Student Association (MSA), Primavera Fest with Trinity University Latino Association (TULA), and a lecture about whiteness outdoors followed by a day hike with Outdoor Recreation (OREC).

Friendsgiving is TDC's take on Thanksgiving that includes food from local vendors all over San Antonio. Students across campus are invited to celebrate friendship and diversity as we eat food from cultures all over the world!

Every year, TDC collaborates with the Student Inclusion and Belonging Office in getting Trinity students to join in celebrating MLK's legacy in San Antonio's annual MLK March (the largest one in America)! We direct students throughout the march and assist in educating students about its historic significance.

To celebrate Black History Month, TDC works with BSU to create a festival event where artists from all over San Antonio and Trinity student’s showcase their work while enjoying food from local vendors!

Diversity Week is TDC's busiest time of the year! Every April, TDC puts on a week of programming (which includes movie screenings, dialogues and interactive events) to celebrate diversity and inclusion which culminates in Taste of Diversity!

Taste of Diversity is TDC's biggest event of the year! Every cultural organization participates in bringing food that represents their identity to create a giant potluck hosted on the Coates Esplanade! Student musicians also showcase their talents as the entire student body celebrates diversity and inclusion!
