Trinity Athletics Wins 2025-2026 SAA Commissioner's Cup
Men's and Women's Tiger Teams Won 13 Conference Championships

In their first year with the conference, Trinity University has captured the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Commissioner's Cup all-sports trophy. SAA Commissioner Stacey LaDew presented Trinity Associate Vice President for Athletics and Director of Athletics Bob King with The Cup at the conference's spring administrators' meeting, hosted by Oglethorpe University.

The Cup recognizes the all-sports champion among SAA member institutions with points awarded according to each program's finish in the regular-season sports standings.

Trinity, where 20% of students participate in varsity D III athletics, won 13 SAA regular season championships and piled up a remarkable 140 points in the standings. That's the most points scored in the league since 2015 and the most ever in the current scoring structure. Centre College was second with 111.5 points; no other school reached 100 points during the 2025-26 season.

The Tigers won fall championships in men's and women's cross country, men's and women's soccer, and volleyball. In the winter, Trinity won a share of the men's basketball championship, the outright women's basketball title, men's and women's swimming and diving, and women's indoor track & field. The spring season featured three more championships for Trinity, winning baseball, a share of softball, and women's tennis.

This is the 15th consecutive all-sports conference championship for Trinity University, following a 14-year streak in the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference that ended when the Tigers joined the SAA for the 2025-26 school year.
