Internships & Professional Experience
You can explore internship opportunities with:
- The Arts, Letters, and Entrepreneurship (ALE) Summer Internship Program
- The Mexico, the Americas, and Spain (MAS) / Alvarez Summer Internship Program
- A conversation with Karla Lara in the Center for Experiential Learning and Career Services (CELCS)
Selected students receive a $5,000 stipend, summer housing, and 1 credit hour in Oral and Visual Communication (OVC) through Pathways.
Research & Creative Scholarship
Work alongside faculty mentors on original research, independent projects, creative works, performances, publications, and presentations. Explore faculty-mentored research through URAH SURF, a 10-week program offering hands-on research, professional development, a $5,000 stipend, campus housing, and one OVC credit.

Arts, Culture & Performance
Create, perform, exhibit, publish, debate, and share your work through experiences that bring learning to life. Students in the creative and performing arts share their talents through multiple opportunities.
- A musical ensemble (orchestra, jazz, choir, or others)
- Perform in a play (by audition and through coursework)
- Compete with the debate team,
- Showcase your work in peer-reviewed journals, the Undergraduate Journal of Contemporary Affairs, course exhibits, or the “Research Thing” competitions
Global Learning
Expand your perspective through study abroad programs, international experiences, language immersion, and globally focused coursework. CASAH faculty and staff are as diverse as the world of perspectives we offer. Students can explore the world by studying abroad or conducting course research.
