Paid Time Off and Leave
Employees accrue generous monthly vacation and sick time. The number of hours is based on type of employment and years of service. The University also has annual holidays, which are approved paid-days off each year.

Sometimes life presents you with the unexpected. Trinity offers paid leave in the event of a death of a member of the employee’s immediate family. Review the bereavement leave policy.

Trinity provides paid leave to employees who are required to participate in a legal process, under certain circumstances. Review the policy details.

Trinity University provides family medical leave to employees in accordance with the law. Find information about the availability of family medical leave and the process for requesting and reporting such leave.

The University acknowledges and compensates for holiday leave. The Holiday Leave policy establishes paid time-off for designated University holidays and to identify how employees who are required to work on a designated holiday will be compensated.

If an employee is injured or becomes ill as a result of his/her normal work duties, report the incident to apply for worker’s compensation.

As a self-funded plan sponsor, Trinity University is responsible for complying with the regulations and Aetna is committed to working with TU to meet the MRF requirements of the Transparency in Coverage final rule.
