Stumberg New Venture Competition
A three part, shark-tank-style experience, the Louis H. Stumberg New Venture Competition annually supports compelling student start ups and offers hands on access to experienced mentors. At stake? $50k to launch your concept!
Preliminary Round
Form a team, pitch your idea to judges for a chance at mentorship and funding. The preliminary round Prize is now $7,000.00 per team.
Incubator
Spend the summer completing a 10-week, paid program to further build your venture, hone your skills, and learn alongside mentors.
Final Round
Deliver your final pitch for a chance to win the grand prize! The Final Round Prize is now $50,000.00.

Once you've founded your venture and are ready for funding, the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship's faculty and staff will support you in preparing an application and travelling to compete at pitch competitions across the city, state, and country!

Summer Undergraduate Research Fellows program
Summer Undergraduate Research re-imagined: spend your summer in a 10-week Incubator program as you grow through pitch practice, hands-on-workshops and classes, ecosystem immersion, alumni engagements, cultural enrichments, and by giving back to other entrepreneurs, younger and older than yourself. Stay in San Antonio over the summer and get paid to build your business. Open to students from every major, rising sophomores, rising juniors, and rising seniors are eligible to apply.
The Makerspace
Collaboratively transform your ideas into actual, physical products at the Makerspace. Here, you'll enjoy access to expert faculty and staff support and guidance, safety and creation training, state-of-the-art manufacturing tools from heavy-duty laser cutters to 3D printers, and advanced design software — open to students of all majors.
