Steffanie Mortis has previously worked in book sales for the Twig Book Shop and as a writing tutor and teacher. Her areas of interest include Southwest and Native American literature, and she has presented at the Southwest/Texas Popular Culture Association Conference. She is a graduate of the University of the Incarnate Word and a native of San Antonio.
