• Martha Peñaranda is an Assistant Professor of Theatre at Trinity. She studied textile design in her native Colombia and attended the scenography program at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Italy. She holds a dual master’s degree in scene and costume design from Carnegie Mellon University. She was an Assistant Professor at Kenyon College, served on the design faculty at the Art Institute of San Antonio for several years, and collaborated on numerous productions as a guest artist at Centre College. Based in San Antonio, Martha also works as a freelance theatre artist; her designs have appeared in university and professional productions, regionally and abroad. Locally, she has designed for productions with AtticRep, Ballet San Antonio, and the North East School of the Arts.
