Dr. Korb has over 40 years of investment management, finance, and teaching experience. He retired in 2023 after nearly 10 years as a senior vice president and portfolio manager at Broadway Bank and joined Trinity University in 2024. Prior to his time at Broadway he was a wealth manager at USAA in San Antonio and co-founded a privately held registered investment advisor in Ohio. He also served as a CFO for numerous software companies in California and a finance officer in the U.S. Air Force. During his career he taught economics, investments, corporate finance, and personal financial planning as a full-time professor at West Point, Trinity Western University (British Columbia), and Texas Tech University. He was awarded the Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®) designation in 1992 and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 2000.
Dr. Korb has actively served on numerous committees and volunteer positions for the CFA Institute (the awarder of the Chartered Financial Analyst, CFA, designation) and the CFP Board (the awarder of the Certified Financial Planner, CFP, designation). In addition he is presently a Parish council member of St. Ephraim Orthodox Church in San Antonio.
