Our Mission and Vision

Mission

The Michael Neidorff School of Business offers integrated, innovative undergraduate and a graduate program for students who are well grounded in the liberal arts.

Building on a firm understanding of the fundamentals of business and rigorous discipline-specific instruction, students continue to learn and apply advanced concepts experientially.

Our programs produce globally aware, ethically sensitive, technologically proficient graduates who think critically, communicate effectively, and understand business as a consequence of both field and classroom involvement.

Vision

To be a recognized leader in providing a transformative business education that builds on a strong foundation in the liberal arts to produce graduates who are highly sought after by top companies and preeminent graduate programs.

The Neidorff Advantage

The Michael Neidorff School of Business offers an AACSB-accredited, integrated business education grounded in the liberal arts, equipping students with strong fundamentals, hands-on experience, and the ability to analyze complex problems, lead organizations, and make a meaningful impact in a global marketplace.

Through consulting projects, internships, and collaborative research, students graduate prepared to succeed across industries and adapt in an ever-evolving business landscape.

Foundational Business knowledge

Students gain a strong foundation across core business disciplines—including accounting, finance, economics, and management—while learning how these areas intersect in real-world decision making. See student outcomes.

Liberal Arts at the Core

Half of the 120 credit hours in a business student’s degree come from liberal arts coursework, and our programs are designed to produce graduates who are globally aware, ethically sensitive, technologically proficient, and able to apply advanced concepts experientially. Most of our students graduate with a double major or minors outside of their major.

AI-Integrated Business Curriculum

Seventy percent of faculty across business disciplines teach courses with an artificial intelligence (AI) component. This AI-driven approach enhances the business curriculum providing students with hands-on experience in AI applications they can use day one to succeed at their internships and full-time opportunities.

Faculty Leaders and Mentors

Faculty are globally minded scholars and practitioners who emphasize ethical leadership, data-driven decision making, and experiential learning while providing personalized instruction. Neidorff faculty serve as major advisers,  case competition coaches, and mentors for undergraduate research and job placements.

A Network That Supports Your Future

Trinity students join a global Tiger community spanning industries, cities, and career paths. Through peer and alumni mentors, professional connections, this loyal network supports students during their time at Trinity and long after graduation.

Neidorff History

In 2021, Michael Neidorff ’65 and the Neidorff Family Trust gave $25 million to the University’s AACSB-accredited business school. At that time, this monumental donation was the single largest in the University’s history. In appreciation of this gift, the business school was named the Michael Neidorff School of Business.

The origins of business education begin in 1885 on the Tehuacana campus under the presidency of Luther Johnson who saw the vision for the rich marriage of the liberal arts and business education.  The business degree programs first earned AACSB accreditation in 1996.

Today's business school was formed in 2013 with Professor Richard Butler serving as the inuagural dean.

“We are proud to be the #2 business school among national liberal arts universities, but what matters more is how we achieve it: through personal attention, high standards, and deep engagement with our students and our city.”
