Description
Grants range from $1,000 to $10,000, but more substantial requests will be considered if justified appropriately.
Award recipients are expected to:
- Take photos while abroad to be used by Trinity
- Assist faculty leaders while abroad
- Assist in the Trinity Study Abroad Fair in September, at other events at Trinity, for a maximum of 5 hours
Eligibility
Who is eligible:
- Rising undergraduate sophomore, junior, or senior students
- Must demonstrate financial need
Am I eligible for need-based aid? U.S. students | International students
Who is not eligible:
First-year or graduate students
How to Apply
Step 1
Apply through the CIE Portal
To apply, students must complete their Trinity Study Abroad Program application.

Step 2
Apply for financial aid
Trinity University requires students to complete two financial aid applications to be considered for the full array of available resources:
- The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
- The College Board’s CSS Profile (U.S. students)
- CSS International Profile (international students)
FAFSA and CSS Profile applications open: Oct 1.

Renewal Information
This scholarship is not renewable.
Applicants can only receive a CIE participation grant once.
Additional Details
Students cannot receive financial aid from Trinity Financial Services and the CIE participation grant simultaneously.
