Description
Baker Duncan Theatre Scholarships are awarded to meritorious incoming First-Year students who are interested in all aspects of theatre, including performance, directing, design, theatre management, and theatre scholarship.
How to Apply
Step 1
Apply to Trinity
Applications open: August 1
Application deadline: November 1 (Early Action/Early Decision I) or February 1 (Regular Decision/Early Decision II)
Step 2
Submit Your Baker Duncan Theatre Application:
All of the following items must be submitted by the Baker Duncan Application deadline:
- Online application, including:
- A resume that includes all theatre credits, including both performance and technical experience
- A portfolio of materials that supports your interest in dramatic criticism/history, design, stage management, technical production, playwriting, or directing.
- Two one-minute videos with contrasting monologues (acting applicants only) submitted via email to @email

Step 3
Schedule an Interview:
Email Dr. Prestigiacomo to schedule a 20-minute Zoom interview. Applicants will have the opportunity to meet with Theatre faculty/staff and ask questions about the program and scholarship. Interview spots are limited and will be filled on a first come, first served basis, so it is recommended to apply by the December 7 Priority Deadline.
Zoom interviews: Mid-January (priority), early February and on
Scholarship Notification: By early April

Selection Criteria

Renewal Information
- Renewable annually for up to 8 semesters, not including summers
- Must become and remain a minor or major in theatre
- Must maintain a predetermined cumulative G.P.A.
- Must be enrolled full-time for each semester
