Getting Started
To be considered for the full range of financial aid opportunities at Trinity, students typically complete two financial aid applications:
- The FAFSA for federal and state financial aid
- The CSS Profile for Trinity institutional aid
Submitting your materials early helps ensure timely processing and full consideration for available aid programs.
Complete Your Financial Aid Applications
Most students applying for financial aid will complete the following applications and submit supporting materials as needed.
CSS Profile
Information provided through the CSS Profile is used to determine eligibility for institutional aid awarded by Trinity.
- Required for Trinity institutional need-based aid
- Available beginning October 1
- All students, including international students, may complete the CSS Profile

FAFSA

Some students may be asked to submit additional documents to complete their financial aid file, including:

When Should You Submit Your Financial Aid Materials?
Entering Students
Students should submit financial aid materials by their corresponding admissions application deadline.

Financial aid offers for continuing students are released in early June after final spring grades are posted.

After You Submit Your Applications
Step 1
Your applications and supporting documents are reviewed by Student Financial Services.
Step 2
Additional information or documentation may be requested if needed, including verification materials.
Step 3
Eligible students receive a financial aid offer outlining scholarships, grants, loans, and/or student employment.
Step 4
Review your offer and complete any remaining steps required to finalize aid.
Special Financial Circumstances
We understand that financial situations can change and may not always be reflected on financial aid applications.
Students and families experiencing significant financial changes are encouraged to contact Student Financial Services to discuss available options and possible adjustments.
Examples may include:
- Loss of income or employment
- Medical or dental expenses
- Changes in marital status
- Death of a parent or spouse
- Other significant financial changes
