Literary Studies

Students will explore the history and diversity of American, British, and world literatures in English. In addition to a literary historical survey, an introduction to literary-critical methodologies, or a special topics course designed for non-majors, students will take two upper-division courses in English literary genres, movements, and/or major figures.

German Studies

The German Studies discovery offers students an opportunity to attain increased fluency in German language and cultural knowledge as well as the option of taking at least one of our many campus-wide German Studies courses taught in English that include art history, film, history, philosophy, and political science.

Geosciences

The Geosciences Discovery course sequence will provide students with an introduction to the earth, earth processes and history, and the geological resources, geologic hazards and environmental issues relevant to society.
