ACE Celebrates a Year of Creating Community
Strengthening the Tiger network through personalized guidance and powerful storytelling

In just one year, Trinity University’s Alumni Career Engagement (ACE) program has become a cornerstone for alumni seeking guidance, connection, and growth in their professional journeys. Whether helping young graduates find their footing or supporting alumni navigating career transitions, ACE is building bridges that strengthen the Trinity community across generations.

Since its launch, more than 400 alumni have engaged with ACE programs, proof that the need for connection and career support doesn’t end at graduation. Over the past year, 150 alumni participated in personalized career conversations, 55 attended Trinity’s first-ever Young Alumni Summit, and dozens more joined ACE-led initiatives like career consulting, financial literacy programs, and affinity network sessions during Alumni Weekend.

“ACE is about helping alumni take their next step, whatever that looks like for them individually,” says Terris Tiller ’00, director of Alumni Career Engagement and Networks. “We’re building a space where alumni are welcomed to share experiences, ask vulnerable questions, and find encouragement, thereby creating opportunities to foster meaningful connections among the Trinity community.”

That commitment to storytelling and shared experience comes to life through ACE’s latest initiative: the What Makes a Tiger Roar podcast. Each episode dives into the pivotal moments that have shaped the personal and professional paths of Trinity alumni—from career shifts to leadership milestones. Hosted and edited by alumni Kristin Fraser ’91 and Diego Flores ’25, the podcast highlights how the Trinity experience continues to echo long after graduation. New episodes of What Makes a Tiger Roar drop at the end of each month, offering listeners a chance to stay inspired and connected to the community that helped shape them. Episodes can be found on Apple, Spotify, and SoundCloud.

The first episode of the podcast features Assistant District Attorney Lauren Zamora ’00, who reflects on the academic and professional journey that led her recently to run for judge of Bexar County. Upcoming episodes will feature Nick Honegger ’15, Matt Reedy ’79, Felicia Leo Kemp ’01, and Amanda Wise ’06, M’08, each sharing their own stories of growth, purpose, and perseverance.

Beyond programming, ACE is cultivating a vibrant online network. More than 150 alumni have initiated career conversations through the new online intake form. Have you joined Trinity on LinkedIn yet? We have more than 7,700 members and growing.

The Office of Alumni Relations facilitates mutually beneficial connections between Trinity University and its alumni by fostering the ideals of diversity and inclusion, lifelong relationships, and personal and professional growth.
