Medieval and Renaissance Studies

This Discovery explores the diverse, interrelated, and evolving societies of the Renaissance and Early Modern world, from c.1400 through c.1750 CE. Students will gain a multifaceted understanding of this period by taking courses in at least two different disciplines. Each course in this Discovery engages artistic, material, linguistic, or textual evidence to address a core question: how did individuals, communities, and societies in this period forge distinctive identities and establish their place in the world?
