Reading TUgether Recommendations

Dear Students:

Trinity’s Reading TUgether program was very well received by the faculty, staff, and students.  As you know, one goal of Reading TUgether is to provide a common literary experience for the Trinity community and to offer an engaging summer reading book for our incoming first year students.  If you did not get a chance to read this year’s book, Three Cups of Tea by Greg Mortenson, there are still copies for sale in the bookstore and for loan at the library.

It is time to select a book for 2009-2010 academic year and the selection committee is soliciting recommendations and would love to hear from our students.  Some important factors to keep in mind as you think about a possible book recommendation:

  1. Can the book provide information related to important and relevant societal issues (e.g., social, cultural, economic, etc.)

  2. Could a speaker be connected to the book and therefore be an invited guest to Trinity (e.g., author, person related to the topic, etc.)?

 Thank you for your participation.
